Hi Members of TANK FM,
We have had a busy few months with a special general meeting and a Members meeting, as well a few changes to the Management Committee.
The Special General meeting was held to change the constitution regarding time served on the Management Committee. All changes were supported unanimously by the members present.
The Members Meeting was an extremely positive meeting with no conflict and some excellent ideas tabled by several members. There was a call out for assistance in the day to day running of the station and recognition of efforts made in our fund-raising efforts.
For information of the two meetings please contact the secretary in the office in Elbow Street, minuets will be made available.
The management committee have had a few changes since the last AGM.

It is with regret that due to personal reasons Rick Wilson has resigned from the Management Committee and will no longer be volunteering in the office of TANK FM. Rick has been a volunteer at TANK for several years and has worked tirelessly to “keep the ship afloat”. All members and presenters should join me in thanking Rick for his massive contribution to the station, in reality Rick has worked hard to allow all present and past presenters to continue to do what they love most, be on air. TANK will miss Rick’s sense of humour and we wish him well.
There are two sub-committees being formed. The first is the programming committee; this is made up of David Solah (chair) Karen Tint, Rodney Attenborough, Stephen McNamara and Richard Kinny. If any members or presenters would like to be on this committee please let the office staff know. All members are welcome.
Secondly, we have the fund-raising committee. This is such an important activity required to fund the general running of the station. I will confirm more details of this committee and ask the chair to contribute a short update for the next newsletter.
We are meeting all our financial obligations and sponsorship remains steady with many new sponsors coming on board.
Studio 2 is all but finished, yahoo!. Ross Delaforce has been our technical guru for some time now and has done an excellent job in commissioning such an asset to the station. If you have any ideas on how to maximise the use of studio 2 please let us know. It would be good if we could earn an income from studio 2. Any ideas are welcome.
The program committee headed up by David Solah have decided to reduce this program cycle to two months. This is so we can explore ways to implement some new ideas that were discussed in their last meeting. If you would like to be on this committee please contact the office by email, or drop in. The more ideas the better.
